Family Movie Night

We decided today to do something special and have a Family Movie Night.

Since we got this great popcorn popper, we made a HUGE batch of popcorn, rented "How to Train Your Dragon" and sat down for a great time together.

Please excuse the mountains of toys on the floor and notice the 3 happy, popcorn-faced children in the foreground. :-) Pete positioned himself on the couch, so that he could turn around at any given moment in the movie and see the football game in action on our bedroom tv. ;-) Cracked me up! So, movie + popcorn for 5 in a theater would've run us easily $50-60. Tonight's event? Just under $5. And, we have the luxury of sitting in reclining seats, pausing the movie, and making loud comments if we want. With the big screen and surround sound, there really are no negatives to opting for a movie at home instead. :-)

You should rent the movie Hatchi, the story of a dog. It was on Hallmark tonight, and this was the third time I watched it. And the third time I used almost an entire box of kleenexes. It's a great family movie.
