All Good Things Must Come To An End

This week was VBS. Another church in the area asked if we would like to join them and be a part of it. We said "Sure!" and got ready for a fun week on Saddleridge Ranch. I volunteered to help at the registration table, because honestly, I've been a preschool teacher for the past 7 VBS programs and I was ready for an easier job. Who knew that that decision would come with perks!! Several of my friends were having their children attend and so, as soon as my obligations were done each night, we went out for dinner. It was the best week of VBS ever! The kids had an amazing time and so did I! Nothing like having some adult time, let alone having the luxury of having it several days in a row!

Last night was their program, so we all got to see what they had been up to all week. Here are my 3 cowpokes. Though, Livie and Noah were going more with a bandit look that night. ;-)

They had a slide show that we got to watch to see all the fun things they did that week. The kids had a ball and you could tell by all the great pictures they had on the screen.

They recited their memory verses and sang some songs for us. They even had a great message at the end all tied into a cowboy story. It was a really fun hour for us.

We decided the night before that we needed to end the week with a big dinner with EVERYONE! Because we all had other commitments that week with work or games or whatever, not all of us were ever together on one night. So, last night, we gathered up the kids and all gathered around for some pizza. There were 22 of us!

The kids had a table and so did we. It was a fantastic way to end our week together!

Livie and Jenna were so sweet together.

Madie and Ella, best of friends, enjoyed their week together so much!

Here's Craig hamming it up for the pictures. ;-) He and his wife Gwen were able to go the same 4 days I got to go, so that was a lot of fun!

Noah, Bodee, and Caleb - total cowboys at heart. :-)

My wonderful friends Lisa and Lee Ann. This was Lisa's first night with us, when I was there, and Lee Ann's second. She's been busy getting stuff ready to move. She leaves for AZ in just a couple weeks!

And, our friends, the Burkeys. They too were able to come all 4 nights when I was there. We all had such a ball!

These are all my girls from both our Bible Study and committee meetings that I've posted about before. So thankful that we're able to go out together outside of church and have a great time together! It was wonderful to be able to give up that role of a volunteer that I've done for so many years and enjoy fellowship of my own during that time. It was the best VBS ever!!

They had an old phone booth in the restaurant that Noah and Bodee couldn't resist popping in to one more time before the night ended. So, it was a great week and we were sad to see it end. But, like I said in the title, all good things always do.
