Livie and I are the only ones that have ever been out there. I knew that Madie and Noah would love it, so we headed out there with a blanket in hand to watch the skydivers. As we were driving up there, we could see the parachuters falling from the sky. The kids were getting excited! When we got there, they had some planes out, so we took a picture by one of them.
Just as we were sitting down on our blanket, we saw several divers parachuting down. You'd look one direction and see 3 or 4, then look a little bit over and see more and more and more. They usually had about 10-12 coming down with each jump. And, with two planes in the air, they fell pretty regularly.
Pete had been out to lunch with an old college buddy of his, so he came shortly after and joined us. We sat right by the landing zone, so we got up close and personal with the divers.
They have a building were they get their chutes ready and in there are bathrooms as a little cafe. We had to get some ice cream to make it even more fun!

The kids would stand with Pete and point in the sky as they saw more and more falling. We even got to see some divers fall BEFORE their chutes opened! That was REALLY cool!
When they would land, several would come in slowly, but others came in so stinkin' fast! You could hear them as they would come in for a landing. It was amazing. We kept saying how much fun it would be to have our cousins with us! We know they would all love it!
We stayed for a couple hours before heading home. I could've taken a lounge chair out with me and sat in the sun for hours. It was so relaxing and enjoyable.
We got ready to leave and had to take one more picture of a plane. This one was so small, Livie was taller than one of the back wings. Can't imagine riding in such a small plane! It was a great way to spend the afternoon. :-)
