It's hard to believe that someone that lives just an hour and a half away is hard to connect with and see, but such has been the case with Pete's sister and her family. With 5 kids (and one ornery puppy) between us, all very active and involved in things, we've not been able to get together since Christmas. Time got away from us too quickly, so we chatted and made time available between dance performances and baseball games yesterday. They came down here to see us and meet Tater. Even though the cousins hadn't seen each other since Christmas, it didn't matter. They took off right where they left off and had a great time together!

One of their favorite things to do? Catch bugs. You know how much I LOVE catching bugs.... not. So, they kept them outside. I guess down by the end of our yard, there was a cricket haven. They couldn't get enough of them! Add that to a moth, a worm, a beetle, and a spider and you have the makings of something special, let me tell ya!

Pete got out the grill and he and Adam stayed outside with the kids (and the bugs) and grilled the burgers and dogs, while Jill and I stayed inside getting the rest of it ready.

Here's Trevor and with Madie. Madie is 6 months older and a whole heck of a lot shorter! We finally realized that this soon-to-be 4th grader has officially grown as tall as his Aunt Lori. :-)

Here are the goofballs at supper. They were so cute and LOUD! Loved seeing them laugh and have a great time together!

We had a fun time too, though I admit we nearly had to shot to be heard over the kiddos. ;-)

Livie and Ty really bonded over their bugs. They were so stinkin' cute together!

The happy cousins saying their farewells. My New Year's Resolution (yes, I'm thinking of that already) is going to be making sure we see our family more!

NOTHING TO DO WITH COUSINS, BUT I READ ABOUT A STUDY CONDUCTED SOMEWHERE THAT SAID THAT MOTHERS-TO-BE SHOULD EAT VERY HEALTHILY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO GREEN VEGGIES, INCLUDING, OF COURSE OUR FAVORITE BROCCOLI. IF A M-T-B EATS BROCOLLI DURING PREGNANCY HER CHILDREN ARE MORE LIKELY TO ENJOY THAT SUCCULENT VEGGIE THAN IF SHE DIDN'T. AREN'T YOU SORRY YOU DIDN'T GET YOUR CHILDREN STARTED OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT? HA HA
