Car Show

Today, in the church parking lot, there was a big car show!  We've been into old car, since we started watching a show called "Counting Cars", which is a spin-off of Pawn Stars.  Danny, the "Count", restores old cars and makes them look incredible.  The kids and I watch it all the time, so when we heard there was going to be a car show, right next to our church, on a Sunday morning, well, we just knew we had to stop and check it all out. :-)

Because it was right after church, we were all still dressed up in our sunday clothes, so we looked a little out of place, but we had a great time anyway.

The kids all found their many favorites.  Livie liked this one, because it had a little skill topper on the lock. :-)

My favorite cars are the ones from the 30s.  Love all the round, soft edges and, I think, that might be Madie's favorite era too.  She liked this one, because of the beautiful blue color.

The girls also really liked this really cool one with purple flames on the front of it.

Noah liked the really old cars, specifically anything from the teens and 20s.  He liked the exposed engines a lot.

He wanted me to take a picture of him by this engine.  I think that engineering mind of his, the one that likes to take things apart and see how it works, is fascinated by engines.  He also loved the motorcycles and swears he's going to get one when he's able to drive.  Ugh.  Hope he changes his mind before that happens!

We all loved this one!  It's like a roadster racecar kind of thing.  VERY cool!

The kids thought it was amazing that they were actually as tall, if not taller, than these cars!  They just couldn't believe how little they were.

Livie liked finding all the unique parts of the car.  Like this one with a snake on it.  She looked at the details. :-)  It was a beautiful, sunny day and we had a great time checking out all the local restored cars.  Boy, were there some cool ones too!
