Picture Day - Recital Version

Today Madie got her costume for her dance recital and they had their pictures taken. And, WOW, were they cute!!! She has a really large class this year - 16 girls in all. Her first recital only had like 7. So, it's a big group.

Here Madie has just gotten her costume on and struck a pose for me!

Madie had to wait for all the girls to arrive and get their costumes and make-up on, so she passed the time with her friend Claire and played "Rock, Paper, Scissors".

Once all the girls arrived, they got their pom-poms and were ready to go!

They all lined up in the hallway, waiting for their chance to get their pictures taken. It was so chaotic and crazy - as it usually is during recital season, but with such a large group and other groups getting ready, it was hard to find room to stand, let alone move. And, as you can see, of the 1st and 2nd graders in this group is the tiniest. Such a peanut!!

After pictures, we all went back upstairs and they ran through their routine a couple times. It's sooooo cute! Can't wait to see it on the big stage! Since Madie's so little, she's right in the front, on the end and leads the group in kicks and everything. She smiled so big, her face was hurting by the time it was done, I'm sure. She just LOVES performing. Loves it to pieces!

Few more moves...

And, a few more..
Just a hint of what her performance is going to be like. So, if you're coming out for it, get ready for the cuteness factor to go through the roof! :-)

So adorable! I hope you can video that. At Freddy's recitals for school or daycare I just can't stop laughing from all the cuteness. I laugh until I cry. They just did a recital at school called "We Haz Jazz" which involved choreography. Hilarious! He is at that age where he gets embarrassed at being "uncool" which makes it even more hilarious! Tell Madie "break a leg!"

And her hair looks great, too. Is that another of the "dos" that you got from the website of hair fixers for children? I love it. Your children, my great nieces and nephew and so cute. Must be in the genes, right?
