Well, it is Day Two of Hole Watch '08. Nothing was caught in the trap last night. But, we discovered why. That sneaky little whatever-it-is dug ANOTHER hole on the opposite side of the patio. Hmmmm..... Looks like we have a clever animal under there. Either that or he's recruited friends and they're creating a new world order of forest animals. Maybe two of every kind like on Noah's Ark? Let's just hope not! I love animals, just not rabid, wild, I'll-bite-your-arm-off kinds. So, tonight, Pete's going to switch the trap to the other side and see what we come up with. This one looks like a smartie though, so it may take a bit of time to catch him. Keep the votes coming. Maybe we'll raffle off the animal as a prize to whoever guesses correctly. Wouldn't it be fun to receive a gopher in the mail?

Hi, Lori :-)
Sounds like a possum to me- possibly a 'coon. They're really samrt and good at avoiding traps. If it is a 'coon, they really love jelly bread and marshmallows. If you put those in the trap (bread folded of course, jelly grape) they usually go right on in.
Can't wait to find out!
Love ya!!
Jen
